Sensous. Sumptuous. Spanish. Those were all descriptions of Ronnie’s Rebel Room at The Anchorage Hotel. It was Nassau’s newest and biggest night club in 1972. Ronnie Butler and his Ramblers opened the new club to a capacity crowd of Bahamian notables, including Prime Minister Lynden O. Pindling and actor Sidney Poitier.
